Turn Down the Heat…
What is it about summer? We love it and we hate it. We can’t wait for it to come around and then it’s past. The heat has been remarkable so far, a real wet blanket. We had a break in the past few days but not enough to stop my need for ice cream.
Here’s our take on it: BOLA granola ice cream. Freshly made and scooped into a bowl. Dig in. Mix-Ins available!
BOLA granola ice cream
Whisk together 1/2c sugar and 2c yogurt to dissolve. Stir in 2c heavy cream, 2t almond extract and 1t of vanilla extract. Pour into the freezer bowl of an ice cream maker and let mix until thickened, 20-25 minutes.
Add 1c of BOLA granola or broken pieces of a BOLA bar to the mix just before completion. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for another time.
