The last straw
Our young friend James is in the third grade. He recently became aware of the enormous damage that our use of plastic is doing to the planet and he launched a local initiative to eliminate the use of plastic straws in his school! Go James! You may think this is too small a mark to make but we are inspired. We can do this! We at BOLA granola are launching our own initiative within our local community to reduce or eliminate the use of plastic straws and stirrers. Perhaps you will also be inspired by James and join us.
500 million plastic straws are used and discarded each day in the United States. Most of these straws end up in our oceans, polluting the water, killing marine life and, over time, entering our food chain. For more information, click here.
The second annual National Skip the Straw Day is February 23. Will you join us as we work towards #thelaststraw?
This year we’re sending a Valentine to the planet! Order by Feb 23 and we’ll send you a supply of paper straws…
BOLA loves you back!
